He says this pedal had a black label that came off and presents a 6 month old picture of the same pedal to prove that it had a black label. The second picture is clearly of another pedal. Notice how the nut is flush with the jack on the black label pic and a little bit of thread sticking out on the no label pic. In addition the pedal has gained a little paint and lost a screw since the label alledgly fell off.

Oh, and every other CE-2 with serial number 522300 would have a green japan label

Interestingly, the last 3 of the 5 photos of the pedal won't resolve when I try to view the auction. Maybe they were taken off?

Thanks for the heads up - I'm looking for a CE-2 so this one is off any possibility of being on the list

Good catch Bossarea .... sad but good.

He even claims that its a SS, looks like black plastic to me.

This Silver Screw, Black Label, Made in Japan version of these pedals are getting hard to come by, so don't let this one pass you by.

I can see the pics now... yes, that protruding thread on the 1/4 jack is a give-away... unless it's been opened and the internal star-washer lost between pics. Not good even if that's the innocent explanation - losing parts during a repair is inexcusable and makes you wonder what other unpleasant stuff occured.

And, of course... no silver screw. Interesting how he has just cut the screw off on the "old" pic with the label.
