I doubt that there are any original SS PSM'5s. Maybe the PSM-5 is more susceptible to screw replacement than the others? If someone has a SS pedal and trouble changing battery, they could resonate that the PSM-5 don't take a battery so they won't ever need to open that up and then switch the screws. Of course if they were using a PSM-5 for powering their pedals they wouldn't need to change the battery in the SS pedal anyway...
Have you received your PSM-5 yet? What's the serial?

If this is genuine then its very possible that there exists SS DM-2s. If Im right on it, PSM-5 started manufacturing in 1983. I dont hope that Dr Bob is right, I have been trying to build a complete SS collection over the last years

Hi Bossarea & guys
Please see the picture of the PSM-5 that I won the other evening, it's in the new pedals thread.
The seller did not mention rare or SS - in fact he gained nothing from the sale if he did change the screw to a SS. It was a BIN, & well under the current evilbay market price.
I am still waiting on it's delivery, I will keep you all informed. It was a 4 day weekend here, & I'm guessing it will be a bit later in the week, before it arrives.
Regards Dr. Bob

The earliest PSM-5 I've seen so far is willemdaguide's october 82 with serial 237600. Be interesting to see if it's earlier than that. |

Hi bossarea & guys
It's Wednesday here in OZ. I was hoping that it would arrive by Friday. As I said, I'll post up the serial when it arrives.
Regards Dr. Bob
