I would like to buy at least three pedals in future:
- Chorus: I don't use it so much, but sometimes I need it.
- Reverb: at home I use the one in my Marshall JCM900, for me it's one of the best, but when I go in the rehearsal room I could find an amp withouth reverb or a fake reverb. I can't live without it.
- Flanger or Phaser? An Hamletic question...
Anyway I would like to know which is the best version for any effect?
Thanks. |

RV-3 is the best Boss Reverb IMHO, because it can be used as a digital delay too. I like my HF-2 high band flanger, but it's the only one that I have had. CE-2 chorus has the nicest sound, I think, and is the best unless you want stereo, then its CH-1 for me. As for the other companies I don't know. I use Boss pedals only, because they fit the BCB-6 pedal case |

In fact I've started this topic in Boss Product 'cause I wish to have only Boss pedals (or almost).
What a casuality, this evening (yesterday, now it's almost 2 o'clock) I saw a group which the guitarist uses Rev3 and his sound hit me. I've shot a pair of pix of his pedalboard and I'll post it, it became a sort of mania at any concert I go to see the pedals.
Stereo? For what? |

Stereo, short for stereophonic, is a two channel sound system that first became popular in the 1950's. You can use a stereo pedal to create stereophonic sound with two amplifiers. I am very surprized that you haven't heard about this before, Fabius |

P4PV@ You forgot that I'm old (I was born the same year of "Help!") and still in mono... at least stereo/mono.
I meant: "For which use?". I don't have two amps and also in the rehearsal room there's just one for guitarist... and maybe working.
Anyway my use of effects it's very simple I don't use send & return for delay or similar tricks, I wish to have essentiality to use my pedalboard anywhere, fast and functionally.
Goran@ sorry my mistake, I meant pedals easy to find, I don't use ebay. But I wrote this models and I'll search on my instruments shops.
Rev2 or Rev3? |

Fabius you are not old. The #1 song of my year was Heartbreak Hotel. Go for the RV-3 it the most versitile Boss reverb. |

P4PV the same year that McCartney met Lennon.
Rev3: also a friend of mine told me tonight at rehearsal... on purpose one of the guitarists left, so during the substitution I've replaced him and which better occasion to try the pedalboard? I've bring the Strato (the Les Paul it's to heavy to carry both pedalboards, mic, partitures, etc.). My ampli was an H&K, not bad but the sound was too much "dark" (above all with DS-1, I've raised the tone almost to 2) and I missed the reverb of my Marshall... so this friend lend me his Rev3... I didn't knew it so he setted for me but... a new dimension, a new world opened my hears... I've got to have it!
For the rest the OD-3 overdrived well, DS-1 distorted well, even the Behringer chorused well (it doesn't know that I would like to buy a Boss chorus, don't tell it), I've also setted the DD-3 not bad too... on my opinion too much echo, my few solos seems the Pope the day of investiture you know: "Dear brothers ...thers ...ers und... sisters... ters... ers...".

Nothing else than the Fender ampli reverb. Not bad but a bit cumbersome, I don't know if it fit inside my pedalboard.
Between the other I'm an old metal kid and my only sound it's Marshall!
Rev2 o Rev3? Have I've started a war? |

IMHO there's difference between Distortion and Overdrive, but I could wrong. I've bought both (OD3, not OD2) days ago and I'm really satisfied.
DS1 + OD3 for Presidents!
About Rev I'm still waiting more suggests, so as the chorus.
Behringer pedals aren't bad (the circuits are the same or almost as other famous pedals) I still using some of it, but what leave me doubtful is the plastic case, the way to change battery, some effect too much noises and other little things that let me choose to buy Boss or other brands. Don't forget that are pedals because are used with feet (pedes in latin or piedi in italian) and the idea to have somethin' not too much stable under the foot...
On counterpart a Boss pedal costs like 12/15 Behringers and before to crash 12/15 pedals I could die for old age!
I had Tube Factor till some days ago and with the Fender Sidekick 15w (not tube) sounds great, but when I've tried with JCM900... poor me a fake sound, I've yet wrote a fart sound. So, only you know which is your config and the use you have to do. |

As I wrote in another topic, meantime I'll find Rev2 or Rev3 I've bought Rev5 for € 90,00 used but really new, box, manual, none scratch or what...
My question is: before or after DD-3? |

I put my RV-3 last in the chain after my DSD-2 delay but I think it's a matter of personal prefference |
