WOW !!!! I picked up a RT-20 and what a nice sounding Pedal. Close your eyes and you would think there is a leslie cabinet in the room. Lots of control here with this pedal. I am running it in the Loop of my Mesa Boogie Stiletto Deuce II. The effects in my loop consist of in order a Boss Advance EQ-20, Boss RT-20,Boss RE-20, and a verbzilla to round it out. In front of my amp I run in order, Korg Tuner, MXR Script Phase 90, Hartman Electronics NKT275 Germanium Fuzz, Exotic BB Preamp all of which is ran through a Stiletto 2X12 Cabinet.
I really love the sound of the RT-20. I always seemed to prefer a rotary effect over a chorus sound and I have found what I have been looking for in the Boss RT-20. I add a little touch of dirt with my Exotic BB in the clean channel and it sounds amazing.
It also matches well with either my Les Paul or Strat. |

Congrats on the RT-20 and welcome the forum... ..i'm also a fan of the leslie sound i use a dynacord CLS-22 for my leslie stuff ..it's a 19" rack unit but i don't use it on the gigs much these days,i hoping to build a new rig in the coming months and incorporate it then so for the moment i just turn my CE-2 up full to get close to the effect on gigs....another member of the forum Zestystrat is also a fan..he has and uses a couple of H&K Rotospheres..the RT-20 looks like a great pedal....enjoy..... |

Congratulations.
It is a nice sounding pedal (although the overdrive is shameful).
I owned one for a couple of months, but I sold it again, because I couldn't use it live because of the enormous volume boost the pedal gave when engaged. The only way to counter it was by blending very little of the affected signal with the dry, but that kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
I don't know if all units have this volume boost issue, though |

Yes the volume is a little hard to tame.Like you said I mix a little of the effect volume and mix in dry signal to match the volume of the amp. With guitar it seems that you only need a little bit of the effect volume to make it sound natural. I also use my BB preamp in front of it to give it a little smoke and grit. What a lovely sound.
