pricewise that's not bad. seen them as low as $70 but ~$110-120 is average.
as for sound, they're kind of a jack of all trades master of none.
unless you already have a sweet chorus, i would consider it $100 better spent on something like a CE-2 or CS9.
i guess the question is if you want to be able to make 50 different chorus sounds or if you would be more content with 1 really good chorus sound that is better than all 50 from the machine.

That's the thing. Does it do anything that you couldn't get from a CE-2 or a CE-5?
I was 'talking' to Dr Bob about this in another post ..i've noticed that the price of the CE 20 has dropped here as well...i saw one brand new in a music shop a while back for i think was about 150 euro and less in the small ads secondhand......boss should of went with an all round modulation pedal rather than just a multi chorus pedal.....
Hmm imagine that, an all in one modulation twin pedal!!!
I don't want to hijack this thread but i'm sure boss could of easily have done it as line 6 did with it's modulation pedal...imagine having chorus, tremolo, phaser and flanger all in one boss twin pedal...hook it up in stereo into a DD-20 or RE-20 and out to two amps.... i would think it would sound massive.....not to mention the amount of real estate you would save on pedalboards...........
