| Boss Sp-1...i know most of you are going WTF???? but if you ever run across one plug it into the efx loop of your amp of choice and BLAMO!!!! tonal bliss i say....imagine what the BBE Sonic Maximizer does for your sound....the SP-1 doesn't do the same thing but it's one of those efx. that once you turn it off you'll want it back on...it even puhes amps w/out tons of gain into heavy stauration land.....the SP-1 is in my opinion the BEST pedal Boss has ever made...sounds crazy....but...I like it man!........runner up is the DM-2!!! |

Yess.... I've tried my strat through an SP-1 into my Marshall. I really like what it does - adds some "bell-like clarity". |

| I always thought the EH-2 was the pedal version of the BBE Sonic Maximizer. SP-1 is a cool pedal too though. |

....yup...like a fixed wah setting...but the key to the pedal is the balance knob...while recording we ran Marshall's, Orange's, Mesa Dual Rec's and old Fender amps and we realized that every amp sounded more "alive" w/ the SP-1 running in the loop. |

I can see your point of liking the SP-1, I think a tiny bit of EQ does liven up any amp, add to that a bit of exhiter and the whole sound sounds more alive. But be aware: Once you use them all the time you get use to them, and once it a while playing a naked amp may sound as good.
The good thing about pedals like SP-1, EH-2 and Equalizers is that you can use them for all playing occassions, and also for all instruments such as guitar, bass and keys. |

Compared to so many other Boss products, I think the DC-2 is probably among the most unique effects available. No one achieves this tone without cloning one of the dimension units.
For influence in the history of rock.. probably the OD-1. |

| i vote for the dd-3 for it's simplicity. If i wanna use a pedal with a million options i would get one of them multi-effects pedal boards |
