Hmmmmm expensive, but if he put it on ebay in the U.K I'd probably buy it.
This is possibly the rarest pedal ever made from Boss; we are more likely to encounter unicorn droppings than to see one of these for sale ever again. Apparently only 5 were ever produced; all sold by Ishibashi Music in Japan or something....
Trouble is; how do you tell its the real deal or not, I don't see a C.O.A or anything in the pics....For 1300 I could certainly spray a bullseye on an SD-1 and make it look like that; notice its got a silver MIT label as well suggesting there is nothing special about the pedal itself save the paint.
How's your Japanese? I'd need to see exactly what the geezer is selling before I'd part with that amount of Yen.

So you would be ready to pay such a price, if it's a real one, just to have it in your collection?? that's insane |

I don't mean to beat a dead horse... but isn't it in essence a $40 pedal? I mean, if it had been a rare, out of production pedal that was painted by an artist then MAYBE I could understand a higher than usual price tag. But the SD-1 is an obscenely common pedal and, like some other contributors have implied, it would probably not be difficult to commission someone to paint a pedal for you.
But after that rant I shamefully admit, it does look pretty cool! |

Ishibashi made both a SD-1 and a CH-1 with Zakk Wylde paint so this one is probably as genuine as the SD-1.
Jesuskanon is one of the big Boss pedal sellers on Yahoo and he's had the SD-1 up there for at least 2 years. I can't believe he doesn't lower the price when it doesn't sell. |

Anything is possible on eBay. I saw a "carrot that looks just like Paris Hilton" go for $33.84!!!! It was a rotten carrot. |

haha why do I get the feeling I'm going to end up eating nothing but bread and water for the next few months
Its a shame there seems nothing special about the pedals other than the graphic and limited numbers; a couple of signatures and/or a photo of Zakk playing it would do a lot more to justify the price tag
