It was a website much like Boss Area and was on the web about 10 years ago. It has since been decommissioned. It was a great resource when I was buying old pedals off ebay in the late 1990s, back before the internet contained the limitless amount of information that it does now.
Just wanted to see if I was imagining things or if it really existed. |

Hi JCM800PDX & Guys
Yes it did exist. as bosspedalzone.com You can search for stuff like this on the "Way Back Machine". The "Way Back Machine" only archives back to 1996.
Archive of the homepage, most of the side (pedal) links work. http://web.archive.org/web/19991013002040/http://bosspedalzone.com/
There are even a few pics on the Steve's Pedals Page, & one of the visitors pages.
You can spend ages looking at the way Back Machine - The Internet Archive. There is some amazing stuff on that link, if you search around. If you find a few free moments, please write to the Admins, & thank them for all there hard work.
Hope this helps?
Regards Dr. Bob |

| When I wrote the first bossarea pages, bosspedalzone had already retired. At the time, google still had some of the pages cached so I got some information of the site before it disappeared but I never saw it while it was live. |

Thanks for the replies! Bossarea, I wasn't at all trying to suggest that you had plagiarized the Boss Pedal Zone. I was thrilled when your site came out because the Boss Pedal Zone had been down for a few years before yours came out.
I think my favorite part of looking at the site on the Way Back Machine is looking at the bulletin board. It's amazing how pedal prices and availability have changed over the last 10 years!

Yeah, well I can pick one up for $200+ now.
Man I hate these collectors that bump up the prices of pedals...apart from you guys. |

In all fairness, I think that contributor was a little off in his appraisal of DM-2 prices. I bought my DM-2 in 2001 (the same year that that post was made) and paid $75+ shipping, which was a bargain compared to similar pedals going for around $130.
There was a DM-2 at Music Go Round a few weeks ago for $195, which actually seemed reasonable for them! A broken DM-2 sold for $120 on ebay last week.
I digress. |

I love how that old forum code censors "ASS" out of "BASS" to read "B***". nice. |
