Here's the serial numbers I've collected for BF-2s. You can see that there are some missing information here so if you have a BF-2 that isn't already listed, please post your serial number and label colour. Also great if you say whether your BF-2 has all black or black/white knobs. Unfortunately I forgot to write this down when I collected serial numbers from Ebay.

We can already conclude that the BF-2 moved from orange to pink labels July 97. The other crucial dates can be narrowed more down so I need your help.

Black label, black screw, black knobs.

Unfortunately, my "naked" (paintless) SS one is naked, so no S/N...

Ink pad serial 0400
Siver Screw.
Black label.
Label has Use a coin...... on it.
Made In Japan.
Black Switch.
All Black Knobs with Red indicator line.

The black knobs are single piece moulding.

I got a mij black label BF-2 black knobs with #604700 does'nt seem to fit in..

You're right. That doesn't seem to fit in.
I've collected some more numbers since the last pic and the earliest green label is now 431900 so there's a few green labels before your black label. Did you buy it used? Any chances the bottom plate has been switched?

Sorry admin.. He cheated me with information.. he said it was a green that he had switched with an old SD-1.. and don't ask me why..
