In the BOSS Efects guide it show the overdrive/distorion for the recent eight pedals they had. Was wondering if anyone would have any of the old books showing the out of production pedals. To see roughly what range they would fall into like the bd2,od3,os2,and sd-1 all fall together in a natural/smooth area. Then we have the mt2 and ds2-II still smooth but metallic sounding. Might even have to seperate the two types as there a lot of pedals

The Boss book has a picture showing all the old pedals too. It's a somewhat pseudo-scientific approach to showing the differences though. How do you measure smooth or crunchy? |

i guess all the OD's and Dist's do have a characteristic range (from harsh to warm, mild to extreme and where they average out is where you can place them in the grid.
it's a bit like pedal personalities!

I can't stand celery sticks. They taste so bad I just know they're really healthy. |

Guess that would work out to extra-chunky = md-2 crunchy = mt-2 smooth = bd-2 extra smooth = sd-1
altho, i highly suggest you avoid the fuzz pb |
