I like the classic "three knob" pedals, i.e. OC-2/OD-3/SD-1/CS-2/DS-1/PH-1r, etc: The two larger contoured knobs and smaller middle one look much nicer than the identical plain round ones on the four-knob pedals, and the triangular layout with the LED in the middle at the top seems to me like a design classic...

See, I also love the 2-knobbers - At one point i was thinking of trying to collect all of them to go with my CE-2 (CS-1, TW-1, PH-1, OD-1 etc) but I quickly realised I would probably never find the elusive SP-1 and SG-1 to complete the set... |

| The DC-2 is another simple and attractive design. Also very unique with the four buttons and no knobs. |

The 2 knobs pedals look great, yeah... Those with the switch escpecially.
The blue color of the CE-2 can make it the best looking one...
I love though the bright Pink of the DC-3, the deep purple of the BF-2, the bright green of the PH-2, and so on... The black ones alos look great. |

I've always liked the bright yellow overdrive pedals. I'm also rather fond of the two-knobbers so the OD-1 gets my vote. |

i'd say PH-1r - 80's Kawasaki lime green, triangle layout, black print, black lable. not much more to be said than that!
any two knob pedal gets my vote - NF-1 in metallic grey is cool. |

| hmm...i dont think we should rule out all the four knobbers, it suits some pedal like the OS-2 i think, that mustardy colour would be awful with no black bit where the controls are |

It's not really the number of knobs i don't like, it's more the look of those small cylindrical knobs: Compare the look of the PN-2 to the TR-2 - The "classic triangle" of the TR-2 is obviously far superior... |

I would have liked to have seen all the four knob pedals come with silkscreened knob functions printed rather than adding the little black plate. (wow imagine getting all that to print legibly with a HR-2 or RV-3!!!!) -- On some (4 knob) pedals there are tiny orientation holes underneath to keep the little circuit board that holds the controls from slipping about, so this would likely explain the need for the black panel.
The HM-2 is an oddball, it is a 4 knobber without the black plate. |

In fact, it turned out I find the PH-2 to be the greatest looking one. This not-too-deep-nor-too-light green, and the assorted knobs...
I love green, indeed.
But any brigth colored with assorted knobs pedal can pretend to the prize. Depending on your favourite color.
If the DC-3 had pink top knobs, it would have been my favourite...
Just for the eyes pleasure...

Of course the 2-knobs are great too...

In fact Boss may have made the most beautiful line of pedalms available on earth... |
