My FT-2 is a keeper. It can take a bit of tweaking but once your there it's pretty cool. I also think it sounds best overall with an adapter compared to battery power. I have been using it a lot in the manual/exp mode without an expression pedal hooked up.

Back to the topic: I've seen demos of the TW-1 on youtube (sounds cool!) but no demos from the FT-2. Have you heard about a TW-1 or FT-2 clone that sounds good? I've seen some demos of the Danelectro, Beh, Tonecore... But none of them seems to be any good.
Here are some short demos of the TW, FT and a bunch more: http://www.pedalarea.com/envelope_filters.htm
I'm gonna try to get a clip or two up of my T Wah on youtube once I get a vid camera or webcam. |

I've just listed my FT-2 on ebay. I've decided it wasn't my thing at all. I prefer my cry baby to be honest. There's a link in the buy/sell thread if anyone is interested. |

That was a fast turn around! That said, I actually prefer my Vox wah to my FT-2 and my TW-1. I modded the crap out of it (including a Whipple inductor) so it's just to my liking.
They seem to be selling for a pretty good price on ebay, so hopefully you'll make your money back. |

Thanks for the link, I think I've been aiming for the wrong thing all along, as I seem to like the TW-1 a lot more. But again, the demos are not complete, as they look like a riff and I want to use it muting the strings and playing some open chords and fifths also. |

Yeah I know. I just don't need it you know, its a rad effect, but if I keep it I will never ever use it. So hopefully some one else will. I think I've listed it at a fair price too.
I have a cry baby 95q, which im quite happy with. I wonder if there are any mods I can do to it to make it better? |

There are lots of resources on the web for modding wah pedals. Most of the mods are really easy to do, although if you have the model with the adjustable "Q" you might be one step ahead of the game. I put a trim pot in place of my "Q" resistor so I could tailor the sound to my liking.

I was in the same boat initially. It was only when I started thinking of the FT-2 as a totally dif' animal compared to my Thomas Organ Cry Baby wah that things started to click with it. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have been using the FT-2 a lot in the manual/exp mode without an expression pedal. In that mode it really works great to alter the tonal characteristics of a straight up clean tone or with other effects pedals. Especially gain type pedals.
For classic wah tones though my Thomas organ Cry Baby is my "go-to" wah. |
