First time poster... long time bossarea fan!

Here's mine, the only "New" Pedals I own are the Strobostomp and the CS-3. All the rest are vintage. Not bad for a 23-year-old! (Not pictured, my ragged-out VB-2)

Hi Slow_Gear
Nice....
I really love your Fender pro reverb.
I have a very similar looking Fender 75

What is the Blue pedal, middle row, far left, first pic, under the red Dyna Comp )script logo too).

And you right foot, looks made just for pedal stomping.
What's the yellow thing, where your left foot would be (maybe jeweler's screwdrivers)?

Regards Dr. Bob

Dr. Bob,

Thanks for the compliment on the ProVerb, it's a '65. The pedal you mentioned is a Peterson Strobostomp Pedal Tuner (accurate to 1/10 of a cent). Awesome pedal tuner.. true bypass, well-lit LCD display. Some guys consider it overkill, but when I record I like to think I`m perfectly in tune. If you ever get a chance, check one out.. worth every cent. (usually around $200 USD). In reference to the screwdrivers, though are some I use to talk apart my pedals. They have a rotating end so they are a little easier to use than traditional ones. I think I paid 5 bucks at Wal-Mart for the whole set.

That's REAL nice.

What mod is done to that DS-1? Or is that just the knobs?

Impressive!
Looks like most of the old pedals are silver screw versions too.

I can do better. But I don't have room to put all my pedals together and take a pic...

I recently counted them. I'm around 150 pedals right know... Plus some amps, and a Jen Allegro electric organ (with integrated Leslie).

Not bad for a 22-year-old !!

Did I beat you ?? Did i ??

My Boss collection do not count such good pieces as yours, I don't have SG-1 and SP-1, nor GE-6. But I got some interesting stuff, a "Super Distortion" DF-2, a MIJ DS-2 (those are hard to find, there must not be a big number of them on the market), a SS, momentary led NF-1, a SS CE-2, two "Octaver" OC-2...

My Fender Blender is not as mint as yours, but my OD-850 has original knobs..

Waoh, guys, is it a contest ?? HELL YEAH !!!

(no, just kidding, nice stuff ! I can't compete with your amp, that's for sure)

I feel like I'll take a pic of my collection, now...

Hi Slow_Gear

Just another few questions,
It appearers that the fuzz face is a genuine one, & not a Dunlop reissue.
I have only ever seen the reissue out here in Australia.

Does it have the original PNP Germanium type transistors.
How does it sound? I have heard that these vary a lot in tone & sound quality.

I see you have a (orange pedal) Dod compressor,
how does this compare to the Script Dyna Comp?

You also have the CS-1 CS-3 & LM-2
Which one do you use & prefer? I have the CS-3 & an Ibanez Soundtank CP-5
I have not found a setting that i like on the CS-3, guess I just have to spend more time with it.
I have been using the CP-5 for now, it just sounds better to my ear.

I played a Behringer CO100 compressor, at a friends house a few weeks back, & for a cheap pedal, it sounded pretty good.

I guess that I'm just used to older & High end optical compressors.

Dr. Bob,

The Fuzz Face is a '67. She's got the germaniums. Fuzz heaven. I have played several and this is the one I kept. Germanium transistors are susceptible to tonal changes due to climate conditions. This one is no stranger, but in my climate-controlled house I have had no problems.

The Orange DOD Compressor 280 is a nice optical compressor. Not too squishy, but not quite as smooth as the Dyna Comp. Of all my compressors I prefer the CS-1 because it doesn't muddy up your tone as much as the CS-3. Although you can dial in the CS-3 to come close to the CS-1, I still prefer my CS-1. If you want (in my opinion) the best pedal compressor on the market, get yourself a ROSS. They go for around $300, but the compression is nice and tight. If you get a chance, try an EH Black Finger (one of the new ones). Tube-driven compression, the good stuff!

Those soundtanks you were talking about are a wolf in sheep's clothing. If you look at like the TS-7, from the same series of pedals, it's basically the same circuit as a TS-808, at fraction of the price.

I found the TW-1 at a yard sale for 5 bucks. It was still in the box, which I have around here somewhere.

5 dollars!

You see, this is why the internet is a bad thing. Nowdays, anyone selling anything can look up the price on the e-bay and there you go. 200$ for a pedal.

Slow_Gear, I envy you.

This guy was selling some pedals that his son had left behind when he went to college in the 80s. I didn't realize T-Wahs were going for that much money at the time. I also picked up the fuzz face from the same guy. He told me "It doesn't work, but I didn't have the heart to throw it out." New battery clip and WHA-LA, working fuzz face.
