Hi!
I've yet to add either of these to my collection, but I've been wondering whether a passable double-bass sound could be mimicked using one of these on electric bass? Or is that just silly?! 
My girlfriend and her sisters occassionally perform a set of country/folky acoustic stuff (Alison Krauss, The Wailing Jennys, etc) and I sometimes join them on bass, so I might give it a try when I get hold of an AC-2 or 3. |

In a general sense, keep in mind when you run a bass guitar through most non-bass pedals your sound will be thinned out. But its all about experimentation! Of course you should go down to your local shop & try it out. I'd be interested how it comes out.  |

| I tried it last month ago. Nothing special came out from my amp, just more trebly bass sound.it didn't sounds like acoustic bass either. |

Awww.. Maybe Boss should have a microswitch on their pedals to choose between regular & bass guitar. I realize that some pedals have a different input for bass.
Don't you think Boss could sell more pedals if they all catered to bass? I mean, regular 6-string guitarists would still buy them but sales would literally open up for the bassists & its all about the bottom-line ($$).
Of course, the reverse would be nice too. I'd sure like a SYB-5 synth pedal for my guitar. |

Thanks for your replies, and Albertprio, it's nice to know it's been tried - even if unsuccessfully. I'm still going to give it a go, and play around with some EQ and even maybe a bit of OC-3!
