there was an article about it in Guitar&Bass a while back...seemingly the guy who had it worked for Chas Chandler,hendrix's manager and former bass player with the animals... after the show the guitar was in his garage with some other stuff as they were in the process of moving office's and forgotten about... the guys nephew was cleaning out the garage a while back and came across it..Dweezil Zappa has the body of a strat the he claims Frank got after Hendrix destroyed it at a show(monterey..?) the neck and all the electrics are not original and he's never been able to sell it even after several attempts..and another strat surfaced a couple of years ago in a nightclubs attic which was claimed to be a 'Hendrix strat'.... one guitar that was believed to be hendrix's is his flying V which surfaced in the 80's...some guitarist in a 70's glam rock band had it and sold it in the mid 80's(it had been refinished so possibly he didn't know the history of it,hendrix's V was very well known) but the guy who bought it knew the history of it,and how it had passed on to other people(i think one of hendrix's roadies sold it after his death) and got it for a song...i can't remember all the names but the guy who bought it was in one of those british 80's 'new wave' bands and still has it,i think he had it brought back to the original hendrix swirly designs......i'll try to dig out the articles with more names and dates if anyone is interested.. |

It's getting better.....Aldi have a printer/scanner for sale..i think i might of talked Mrs F into getting one after dinner.... .... i don't know if the boss or any of the guys and gals read the english guitar mags but the people in Guitar&Bass etc seem to be guitar nuts like most of us,so hopefully they won't mind.. |
