Ok, so I bought a 80's crybaby from cash converters ages ago for $50. It sounded great but at that time I was just starting to play so I never really used it so I sold it for $50, even steven.
Now I can't find one in any second hand shop and all the ones on ebay are over $100!! What's the story, was I just lucky for $50 or are they really expensive!? Lately I've just been using my bass wah with surprising results.
What do you guys use and how much did you spend?

I have 3 Dunlop wahs in my chain. One is a late 70's transition period Thomas Wah with the stack of dimes inductor. Another is just a mid 80's one, with two knobs that I added to control sweep and resonance.
I also have a Crybaby Classic with a Fasel inductor, which i bought new from a guy for the money that I had in my pocket at the time, 47 bucks.
hahahah :] |

A previous bass player had a crybaby(not a bass version) and never liked it on his sound,so it sort of 'fell' onto my pedalboard when my one gave up the ghost.. ...that was about 10 years ago,the pot is geting a bit scratchy and needs to be changed, pots for Wahs are pretty pricey on their own...i've seen some that are over 30 euro...... |

| well i have to say supply and demand on wahs right now, i never found a good use for them except playing voodoo chile.well about a year ago after selling hundreds of boss pedals i said i was goona sell i my gear a go exclusively with just boss pedals. and after a few months i found limitaions with just boss. and i started modded pedals. boss pedal are relitively inexpensive with most modded pedal you can get for about under 150. so right now i an using all boss pedals in a bcb60 pedal board. with mogami cables to a fender twin reverb.using strats and teles. with dunlop ultex picks |
