Does anyone have a link to, or a list of, sample settings for different tones?

I've searched this whole forum and I can't find anything.

If someone could describe what each level does that would be cool too

I think that you might be making this a little more rigorous than is necessary -- each of the sliders is nothing more than a tone control for a portion of the audible hearing spectrum (roughly 50Hz to 16KHz, depending on how good one's ears are). The upper and lower ends of the portion of the spectrum for each slider overlaps the adjacent sliders on either side; think of overlapping bell-shaped curves.

They made them slide controls instead of rotational knobs in order to make it easier to visualize the approximate frequency response curve being applied to the input signal across the audible spectrum.

It's pretty much up to your own ears how to set it -- your objective is to boost or cut in each portion of the audible spectrum to add or subtract when you think it's necessary to get the tonal character you are after. You aren't going to fundamentally alter the input signal's sound, any more than adjusting the bass and treble controls on your stereo receiver alters the sound of the station you're listening to.

ya, its nothing high tech really. theres really not any recommended presets unless you know exactly what you want.
e.g.using it with a MT-2 and you want scooped mids, you would set bass and treble to a high setting, and keep the mids a little lower. but for solos, you might want to push down the treble and boost mids.

one little tip i recommend is not to offset the sliders too much. meaning i wouldnt set the 1.6k band at "10" and the 3.2k band at "1". usually the best settings will have a "u" or "n" shape.

good luck

Thanks for the advice guys. I've been messing with it a lot, and I seem to have a nice medium. My main concern was how to use it with an archtop, but a slight increase in the highs has yielded some nice results.

Thanks again!
