A mini-maglite.
Black stage. Black curtains. Black inside back of amplifier. Black inside guitar case. Usually black with the stage lights off.
Comes in pretty dang handy! |

* any chromatic tuner that allows hands free tuning -- tuners like the Boss TU-2 are common now, but for many years I used an old quartz tuner where you had to manually switch the note you wanted to tune to... very much a PITA.
* a bottle opener... I have a genuine Fender bottle opener mounted on the wall in my basement, near my guitars and amps. but for maximum versatility, the (former?) guitarist for the alt-country band Lucero actually mounted a bottle opener on the front of his Tele Thinline. truly, this is the most practical guitar mod ever conceived!
* and Laurie, I totally agree that a Weller makes for great soldering. I got to use one when I was in grad school (for wiring strain gages), and proceeded to borrow it whenever I needed to rewire a guitar. one of these days, I'll upgrade from my crappy RadioShack solder pen. |

If Jagermeister, or Jagermeifter, didn't come with a screw top, I'd probably have one on a Telecaster... Thats not beer, its a large glass of viking fuel (as I sometimes refer to Jagermeifter), because if you do too much, or maybe just the right amount , you want to pillage and burn down a village and take some of the village's best booty |

I keep a three foot piece of hockey stick handle in case the babes go wild and try to swarm. This is a very good deterent. In fact, I have been beset by not even one mob of passion crazed women since I got it. |

so what you're saying, is that you need a Tele with a built-in freezer, to keep the Jagermeifter chilled at the proper temperature? or (egads!) a freezer combined with a Jagr tap?
let's get to work on this mod kit pronto... between Keef Richards and Mick Mars, we've got at least two customers already!
but seriously ... Starr36, I think it was a '90s made-in-mexico reissue, with humbuckers... those first issue '70s Tele Deluxes have become quite pricey of late. |

I never thought of that A 5th can be put in the back pocket of your jeans, though I usually say I got an ass pocket full of jager, or stashed in the back of a combo amp. |

Jagermeister is not Viking fuel, its from Germany, its very very good, strong and if you drink too much I used it a lot on early morning fishing trips when I was younger, good stuff!

Even though its from Germany, when I get tipsy on it, I rage like a viking, though one of my friends from California says that I am a Hessian since I ride skateboards and listen to heavy music, so if I say its "Hessian Fuel" will that be more geographically correct for everyone |

didn't Michael Anthony (x-VH) used to have a bass that dispensed shots of Jack Daniels?
and I'm positive that Ace Frehley had a Les Paul with the neck pickup replaced by a smokebomb housing.... not to be outdone, the great Nigel Tufnel pulled out all the stops in his Global Warming guitar:

| Nice Global Warming guitar but reminds me of a carnival for some reason. |
