this is what pre CBS basses are going for in dublin now....there was also a 64 strat a while back with a similar ridiculous price tag.......that jazz bass is beautiful...personally i think aroud 4 to 5K is a reasonably fair price for this as if it is original it's a very clean example.... but 20G for a 59 P bass and not even a pic.............
A mint 64 custom colour should go for 10-11k I think.. pre-CBS won't stop accruing value anytime soon.. But damn.. that's beautiful. Making me forget the Alembic I played today!!
How much do you reckon it will go for? $3000? $4000?
I have never seen one like this ... if you do see'em, they are usually sunburst or 'olympic white'; I don't know what it will go for, but the seller sure has a line on some pretty fine vintage and collectible gear ... to that end, my bet was $5K, and i just checked the listing at $8100 and reserve not met .... yikes!
