What's this got to do with Tyra Banks not NAKED, & her pedal board?
Nothing really. --- I just couldn't think of a Good Title. To be really honest, I don't even know if I posted it in the right section?
It's one of my project ideas. I Just thought you guys might like to see, some of what I have been up to over the weekend.
A little while ago I went to the local recovery centre, Tip/Rubbish dump I have written about this place a few times, it's a huge shed that sells off items that are recovered from peoples hard rubbish, before it's bulldozed into the ground.
Well I found a Franklin Volleyball storage case, it looked like it might be usable as a pedal case.
I don't know what a new one of these kits sells for, but even if it was $50+, it's still a lot cheaper than the $299au to $2349au; That the Aussie music stores are asking for a Boss BCB-60, and the $120au to $199au for a BehringClone PB600.
With the addition of a bit of protective upper foam, and some stiffer lower foam (not yet attached) it would make a very nice MegaPeadCase.
Outside of case from hinge side, so you can read the label.

The inside of the case - with the bits that were in it when I bought it.

A few different ideas to show you how large this case is.
Nearly all Boss: even room for a TU-12

Variations:

More variations:

Like I mentioned, I just need to get some firm foam for the bottom of the case. And a bit more protective ripple foam for the lid.
I have been thinking about adding some removable hinges, and some Velcro or something similar, as safety snaps for the lid.
Overall, the case cost me a Whole "One" Dollar ($1) from the recovery centre. The ripple foam came from some packing courtesy of work. And I still have to beg - borrow or buy the other items.
For those that are wondering about the size: Overall dimensions = 830mm x 260mm x 92mm
Regards Dr. Bob Now --- about that subject title? |
