Hey folks, this might be a little out of the relm here but...

I have eight pin spots and I would like to turn them into floods. Does anyone know if there are flood type bulbs availble (two wire connection to the bulb) to convert them over?

They were a gift from my duo partner and I don't want to get rid of them but, right now they're unuseable to us.
Any ideas?????

Crude but (maybe) effective approach I've used before...

Take an orbital sander and carefully sand the lens - to the point where you can't see through it. This will diffuse the beam.

Other than that - please post pics so we know what lamps they are.

Hey Laurie,
The only problem with that idea is that the pin spot bulds seem to take a few seconds to come up to full power so, when I use my chaser they never get bright enough to be usefull. The only option is to swap out the bulbs, or totaly gut out the cans and install sockets for par 38 flood bulbs.

Do the cans have transformers n them? (are the bulbs 12VDC?)

If yes... it's not generally good practice to chase them - the inductive load from the transformer can smoke the output of the chaser.
