I love harmony leads, but I couldn't find a useful sound with my PS-2.
I also love harmony leads like thin lizzy, wishbone ash and the allman bros etc... i thought about getting something like the old digitech rack units like the ips-33 but there very hard to find on this side of the pond ..i think it also does the whammy effect on one of the patches and you can plug in a expression pedal to control it...the edge i think uses one for the famous' shimmer' effect he's known for but i would be more interested in using it for harmonys...
how's the harmony sound on that? tracking? i also have somewhat of an obsession with harmony leads a la thin lizzy and iron maiden
If your talking about the old digitech units the more sought after ones seem to be the original ones with the stuff inside them that was developed by IVL for Digitech..Gilmour,the Edge,Vai and a good few others seem to have one of these old digitech units in their racks even now...there scarce on the ground here but i've seen them on Ebay canada and the US for not a lot of money..IVL were(or still are) a canadian company AFAIK so when i was looking for one a good few seemed to pop upon their ebay...there were a few different models i think the IPS-33 was the cheapest one...Digitech have a new harmony pedal that sounds great but i was looking for a rack unit..i've never played one but i think this guy is using one of the digitech units so you can judge for yourself about the tracking..
