I'd say the DM-2 is going for $300.00 now. That's about the price range of the VB-2, SG-1, and the SP-1. Looks like theres 4 now.
Glad I got mine. For a incredible deal I might add aswell. |

| Yes, they've been going up lately. A quick look at the completed Ebay auctions tells us that the 7 last DM-2s has averaged a price of $265. There's a lot more DM-2s available than there are of the other 3 you mentioned so it's not the scarcity that pushes the price up. |

| I only got back into effects a year ago and can remember back then that DM-2/3 would regularly go for US$150. It's crazy that in about a year the price of DM-2/3s have risen by close to 100% [:0 |

| I have recently become interested in Boss pedals and I wanted a DM-2. I watched ebay and it looks like around Christmas prices go way up. I found my DM-2 on ebay for $200 and some change but I had to wait and find a seller that didn't accept paypal. Those auctions seem to go for cheaper. Maybe tax time is a good time to pedal shop? Maybe that is the only thing tax time is good for? Is the VB-2 really that good of an effect or is it just the rarity? |

I havent used my VB-2 much at all since I bought it. But I sat down last week and plugged it in, and there are really some nice sounds you can get from it, especially combined with a DC-3 and a clean undistorted tone. So when it comes to VB-2 as a useful pedal... |

| Sunburst, I have had a CE-1 and the vibrato was the best I've heard but I sold it due to its master volume control (also had a retro sonic chorus ensemble but it had bugs). Have you heard a CE-1? Can you compare its vibrato to the VB-2? Thanks,Paul |

Wouldn't combining dimensioning with vibrato just bring you back to the sound of a chorus pedal?

Paul, I have never tried a CE-1 so I cant make any comparison. |

Not really, the vibrato effect from the VB-2 is quite unique in my opinion and doesnt sound like a chorus in any way. |

Okay probably a lot of folks will disagree with me now but really: The VB-2 sounds good, its hight price may be because you do not see them often. How does the vibrato compare to a CE-1? The VB-2 has far more control over the vibrato sound than the CE-1, but you could get the VB-2 to sound the same as a CE-1 or any other vibrato pedal.
Overal I have a feeling that a lot of vibrato's can sound similar, their difference is the controlrange, and that is where I would put the VB-2 at being number one as you have a lot more control over its entire vibtrato sound. |
