New CE-2 got today for £40, when EvilBay has them on Auction for £45-60 today, and in good condition and boxed, awsome sounding, better than my CH-1 and Digitech X-Series XMC, either the XMC or CH-1 will be traded now for some new gear.
Pics:

Really happy with this purchace, thats me got 2, 2 knob boxes now with my PH-1 as well. |

There was a transitional period, when thay were still using the older "use a coin" labels.
But for your sake, I hope it really was a SS. Bossarea will have a better idea from the info in his data base.
In any case it's an Ink Pad Stamped, Long Dash, Black Label CE-2, How good is that.
Regards Dr. Bob
It's good... and all for $90
It is a transitional one - it's from 1981 and it's so original I don't think the screw has been changed. No matter, it's awesome |

I got the CE-2.....and it's a black label MIJ sept 1983..... i also got the HM-2 and i have to say it's the most batter and bruised Boss pedal i have ever bought....it's missing the lock nut off one of the pots and two of the knobs but i don't care... i'll give it a little TLC to get it back too it's best...i think this collecting thing is starting to happen.... the CE-2 is missing one of the little silver plates off the top of the control knobs and has a few chips and scuffs from gigging but otherwise it looks cool.... it's too late to plug them in tonight but i'll give it a go tomorrow.... ..there was also a behringher blues overdrive supposed to be a copy of a BD-2 ..i gave it to our drummer as he gave me the FZ-3 a while back and a 2x12 speaker cab with a couple of original celestion greenbacks,he plays a bit of guitar and is pretty handy..some of you guys and gals would love him and he has some great gear he had aquired over the years..he pulled out one of those boss multi effect thingys from about 20 years ago,out of his attic last week along with a little pratice amp and a jap copy of a les paul..... not a bad sound at all out of them either...we ended up jamming with it and an acoustic guitar until the wee hours....... .... |

New MIJ BF-2 today. Has much greater colour and movement than my MIT one (even when the MIT one has a depth mod). Happy

Got my XT-2 Xtortion today in mail, only took four business days from France. Great sound, haven't found the sweet spots yet Really good with a phaser, drives it hard, and super with a delay

Yeah, ever since Dr.Bob's rant, XT2s are hard to find on evilbay and usually saw them for about $95US, got mine for less than $80Cdn |

just got two of those

the thing is though: they were NOSs and BOSS usually ships pedals with battery in 'em... well.... these are quite old and batteries might leak..
yup... one of 'em leaked.... but just a minor leakage on the serial number
both batteries were dead however... hehe
might not need two of 'em after all so if anybody has a nice pedal for trade... pm me |

Hi MullyFX
Very nice find, and sold as NOS... I think I'm getting a bit jealous...
The LM-2 is a great pedal.

Hi Laurie
Nice MIJ BF-2. Mine was sleeping under my friends house for about 20 years.
Still has the original National (Panasonic) battery in it. If you remember your History Panasonic, changed their name, we were almost able to date the pedal, just by the battery itself...
As for the XT-2, tell Mrs Laurie, that your going to pop over for a while, & borrow one of mine...
Regards Dr. Bob |
