Yep this is a working board, I have few other things but as you say this is what I need (although I could manage without the phaser and possibly the chorus for what I do live at the moment). I really like The Blackstar, I think it is an excellent piece of kit especially given the price. I haven't had the opportunity to try other valve based pedals but this one will do for me. Bottom line is that is passes all of whatever tone I put into it, responds to my playing like a valve amp, sounds like the front end of a valve amp being pushed and gives me all this without having to run loops back and forth to the amp to accomodate delay, chorus and so on. Plus I can DI it for recording although nothing beats a mic'ed cab for the final tracking.

BTW I hadn't thought about it but the settings on the Boss pedals are pretty much where I use them |

Today i looked at my pedal board and i decided, Hmmm i could fit more pedals here! So i took out all the foam and just squeezed all 14 of these in, and yes i know its a bit of a rats nest. Unfortunately the BF-2 is running on a separate power supply because there is only 13 jacks on the daisy chain. Im really happy with my new RC-2 (Thanks Nathu) and the two monster cables i picked up.
Chain is like this: Telecaster > Laurie SG-1 clone > TU-2 > Cry Baby > PS-5 > Laurie HZD > DS-1 mij > HM-2 mit > BF-2 mij > PH-1r > CE-2 mit > DM-3 > RV-3 > RE-20 > RC-2 > Randall amp (...phew)

For a while, I thought I had everything I "needed", but over the holidays, I have convinced myself that a Slow Gear is the missing ingredient from my perfect board, so I'm currently building a clone...

Kudos for the EP-1. That pedal gets a lot of love amongst us bassists. |

Not my pedal board, but I haven't updated a pic of my collection for a while, so here's one. I forgot to stick my Vox wah in there. Doh!?

hey man i'm obsessed w/ Fuzz Face's(or just fuzz for that matter)...i've never gotten to play one of them mid 90's JH Dunlop reissues and was wondering what you think of her?....have you ever A/B'd her beside a vintage Dallas Arbiter or even the JHF1 reissue...i've almost pulled the trigger and bought one unheard a couple of times but...I figured I own too many already...what's the fuzz box beside the DS-1? |

(no offense to DasBeef anwering the question)
I think it's a Fame Fuzz. About € 40 for a decent pedal. I'm not sure though if it's from Fame. |

I don't have a picture and this is not my pedalboard, but it may be of interest to you guys. I saw Kaki King play here in Adelaide on friday night. It was an awesome performance. She was using these pedals (to the best of my pedal identifying skills):
- Ernie Ball Volume - Boss DD-? (I don't think it was a DD-7, I didn't see a 3rd socket on the side for EXP) - OCD - Boss OC-3 - Boss RC-20 (I'm guessing an XL) - Boss TU-2 - some sort of modulation or auto-wah box, maybe a ZVex Seek wah?
All on a pedaltrain board. I was on a balcony close to the front so I had a pretty good view, unfortunately I didn't think to take my camera...
I'm sure she used to use an Electro-Harmonix HOG for octaving but I guess the OC-3 is a lot simpler and uses up tonnes less peadalboard real estate. |

You have lost your goddamn mind. Will the lid even fit on with all of that? I also think it's interesting you run your RV-3 before your RE-20. I run mine after since it's primarily for reverb and I figure reverb should be after everything. At the same time you run your DM-3 before it. Very nice.
There's a couple different ways to think about it. RV-3 is digital so it's going to sound digitally cold with perfect repeats and whatnot. So if you run it through something analog or "analog sounding" like the RE-20 it's going to take the RV-3s perfect repeats and subject them to warm analog decay, right?
On the other hand, if you have the RV-3 after your analog delay then the RV-3 is going to do perfect digital repeats of warm, decaying analog repeats. Also a valid school of thought.

Interesting thoughts alice. I always have my RV-3 on, for reverb, not delay. I never have tried putting it after my RE-20 because its just always worked good where it is. I guess I just stuck with the "if it aint broke, don't fix it" thing. Im not too sure if the lid will fit on yet, im on holidays and I've been too busy having fun with this! Haha Cheers, Jake
