I bought the Dano 63 baritone a couple of month ago and really liked it. Just traded a Yamaha 335-clone for the Dano 63 guitar, and that my friends is a really good sounding guitar with its own voice. Great clean tones and distorted it also sounds very good. I cant believe that a guitar built by plywood and masonite, and in China, could be so good and well built. The picups are so good that I would say that you buy two pickups and get a decent guitar for free. Highly recommended!! Its cheap too, around US $250. |

They have to be good. They've lasted so long.
I don't know if you know, but Jimmy Page used a Dano, and it sounded soooo hot . I think he upgraded some parts though.
I tried to find a Dano guitar in Australia, and can't find one. I'm annoyed that in the USA people can just go into a shop and buy one for $300. They are so rare here. |

Sounds very reminiscent of the original Danos. Everybody noticed how seemingly cheap they felt, but they also noticed how they oozed tone!
Some things never change... |

Actually, it does sport a female bottom-end shape, chambered core, & who can argue with surf-green!? |

Yes I am Dr Bob, and she sure sound extremely good! I have changed the pots and the capacitor, the only thing from this China made instrument that was of lesser quality, if you can accept plywood and masonite bodies Dont tell my wife its a she, the wife complains that I spend more time with my guitars than with her. And, of course, thats true

Nice one Goran...... ..as DeFrag mentioned there is a new 'dead on ' series out now...there featured in this months 'Guitarist' magazine, there called the 'Dead on 67'. seems to have a bit more of a fender vibe to them with a tremolo plus the bodies are made out of basswood.... |

Very cool guitar there, Goran. The pickguard looks a bit strange, but hey, tone is more important than looks!
