Picked one of these up in a batch of pedals. Interesting... all DSP, but actually a decent compressor if a little noisy.

One thing became very apparent immediately - all the warnings about having only one of these pedals on a power supply (ie. no daisy-chaining) is true. What a PIG - enormous amounts of noise on a common power supply. Impossible to do anything but power it separately. Shame on you Line 6!

I have a simulation of a LA-2A studio compressor in the XT pro that i quite like...not too squashy sounding..unfortunately you need the long foot controller to switch it in and out like a pedal.....thats the thing that pisses me off about line 6,as your pointing out Laurie about trying to daisy chain some of their pedals together like a boss chain...who is going to build a pedal board with a seperate power supply for every pedal....if they put a little bit more thought into things and practicable uses for gigging musos some of their effects are quite decent sounding and useable......
