The Richie Blackmore model looks particularly interesting, especially with the dummy pickup. Also sorry for the Fender double post!

thanks for the scoop! it's kind of surprising...

... that it took an extra year or two to issue a rosewood-board Eric Johnson model (was it due to popular demand, or does he favor rosewood fretboards on his Strats at all)?

... that they would make a Dave Murray model after the "Iron Maiden" Strat was discontinued a few years back.

... that it took so long for a Ritchie Blackmore model to be made (how many years has the Yngvie Strat existed?), although I guess Blackmore doesn't play much electric guitar these days.

I've wanted an Eric Johnson Strat for a while now.. staggered pegs, no tree..

yep looks sweet...... EJ has(or had) a couple of rosewoood board strats but i'm not sure if he used them much live......he said in an interview a while back that he had a bit of a clearout on the guitar front but i remember seeing him in a few photos with what looked like a '62 strat with metallic blue body.....

I thought I heard there was going to be another Steve Harris bass, but maybe I misread something? I'll have to see if I can find where I read that...
