Hey Laurie,
I got that extra MT2 the other day. I'm going to do your storm trooper. Do you have any suggestions on the mod? Any thing you might do different? |

| Nope. I have four MT-2's modded to the same spec and a bunch also done for mates locally. Seems good to us. |

Yep. Can be ceramic or mono. As long as the values are correct. |

WOW! That's sure a lot to choose from!
Assume it is for the "check" LED. I just use any old 3mm LED... Happen to have some white ones I prefer. Not sure what to recommend! |

| I know... It's the same with choosing caps and resistors too. |

Hey Laurie, I'm thinking of performing your mod on my MT-2 aswell... The other guitarist in my band has an MT-2 and I want to sound more awesome than him!... Gotta keep up with (and ahead of) the Jones's |

Hey Laurie....
On this step here.
Enlarge the hole for R-jump furthest from IC2 and put one leg of R-jump and one leg of a 0.056'F polyester cap into the hole (two leads into one hole with care!).
Rather than enlarging the hole, can I just solder the two legs together? That would achieve the same thing right? |

And on this step... .
c) Solder the other leg of the 0.056'F polyester cap to ground this can be achieved by drilling a hole near the edge of the board through the ground track on the track side of the board (it is the track closest to the edge of the board at that point). Clean the protective coating from the track and solder the cap leg.
What do you use to clean the protective coating? |

Ha... And I guess, while I'm at it... Might as well ask about this... What is the benifit of doing this step?
Replace the LED with a bright white 3mm - take care with orientation! If desired, replace R10 (the LED resistor) with a higher value to reduce brightness and current consumption anything from 2k2 to 6k8 seems to work. |
