Now I finally found one....and next week I will get it! How much does it differ from the other Boss Comp/lim pedals?

Hi Rid
Remember it is a Limiter. You will like it, it's subtle, & very transparent, many members here like them.
Regards Dr. Bob |

LM-2 is the best Boss compressor in my opinion, the regular ones arent up to LM-2. I wish Boss would come up with a compressor as good as the best ones, CS-5

| The LM2 is great after overdrives and distortions where the gain is cranked and the limiter`s level at about 9-10 o`clock, and the other knobs pretty much like Controlfreaks settings. It cleans up nicely. |

There is a local shop near me with an MIJ LM-2 in good shape. It's been sitting there for about 6 months. They're asking $60US for it. Worth it?

Thanks for the reply.
They don't deal, which is why I think that the pedal has been sitting there for 6 months...

This sound like a good idea, thanks Christo. I'll have to try this out. |

Gratulations! I rate the LM-2 as the most underrated BOSS pedal. Love mine too. |

FWIW, I liked my LM-2 for bass guitar -- very nice squash! -- when playing thru my solid state amp. (I always tried to borrow tube amps for gigs, and did not use a compressor if the tubes provided enough compression.)
regarding prices, $60 sounds pretty steep unless it's in collector-grade mint condition with all paperwork. they are not common pedals, but also low demand. |

people like to bump the price a bit since its out of production
also like how it doesn't effect the low end compared to a compressor |
