Hello everyone.I need help about boss adapters. I'm using sd1,sd1(moded) and ce2.They are powered by psm-5 with original boss cables.I've been using different adapters for years but now i want to end this with a boss adapter. My sd1 pedals are mit so "use psa only".But my ce2 is mij(with aca) Which one is the best solution for them? PSM-5 with PSA or PSM-5 with ACA(if it's possible, cos PSM uses psa too)? Thank you... |

I believe that if you put a PSA (the new ones) and link them through a daisy chain you can power a Ce-2.
I use(d) the Boss PSA - 240 and powered all my pedals (OD-3,Cs-3,Tu-2 ect) & my MIJ analog Ce-2 powered fine. So as long as your powering through daisy chains it should work. |

Ollie is right, if you use a daisy chain connected to the PSA adaptor then you should be able to power all 3. The daisy chain heads bypass a resistor (I believe this is the case, correct me if I am wrong) in the CE-2 that prevent it from working properly with just a psa adaptor.
However, I would recommend getting something like a voodoo labs power supply, carl martin big john or T-REX power suppy, the better ones include specific 12 volt outs etc so you can pretty much power everything and anything with isolated power supplies, and if you are using lower impedence pedals you can even run daisy chains from individual outputs, although pedals like the CE-2 will benefit from being isolated. Any pedal that has built in oscillators like chorus, delay etc, can be prone to a cyclic hum if they are sharing a power supply with other pedals. Just something to consider! |

Thank you all.Now i have psa-230P adapter. Here's another question.I have psm-5 but i dont want to use it anymore because i want to put another pedal to bcb-30 instead of it.I have a boss daisy chain which can be connected directly to adapter.I've tried it with pedals and ce-2's led was fine.Is it ok? or is psm-5 the only solution?

Your daisy chain is fine. Congrats on what sounds like a fine pedalboard |
