| Hey Guys. I am new to this forum. Anyone ever have this problem with their DD-3? It is burning through batteries at the rate of about one per day. They only last about 4 hours max. Also, the AC adpater input is on the fritz - With the AC plugged in the light goes on when I stomp but there is no change to the signal. If I remove the AC plug it works normally (off the battery) but when I plug it back in again - same problem. I am using an 800ma 9V radio shack adapter with an Ibanez Daisy Chain. I've never had any problem driving boss pedals with this setup in the past and my SD-1 and DS-1 work fine off it as does my Dunlap Wah. Thanks for any advice or sugggestions - I'm sure the first will be to go buy a Boss PSA 120 and repost after I've given that a shot, huh? - JC |

Sounds like something is seriously wrong with your DD-3. I don't think another AC adapter will make any change. If it works with your other pedals there's probably nothing wrong with it.
How many Ah is a 9V battery? It's usually stamped on the battery so if you take that number and divide it by 0.055 (55mA) it should give you the number of hours you'd expect the battery to last. |

i had a similar problem with the dd3 i find it only works for me off boss adaptors i had a adaptor from maplins( its like radio shack)and my other pedals mostly boss worked fine ie.. dist/overdrive/chorus these are all analog, maybe its something to do with the fact its digital, the dd3 draws about 55mA which is quite a lot for a boss pedal.... |

Is this an original DD-3 with the 64-pin delay controller?

i use 2 dd3's,in my set up,i have noticed that the older one (it has a red label on the bottom)is a little more 'dirty' sounding on the repeats, also you have to set the effect level knob higher to match the newer one(black label) both are mit.I mostly use the newer one for gilmour, edge, albert lee type repeats and the older one for lead guitar,if stahlhart is reading this.... do you know if there is a different chip in the older mit dd3's or do they wear down with time and use...? i really like the sound of the older one its not 'analog' but its not too clean either......if you know what i mean...!!... ...slainte... |

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I will try it with a Boss adapter first before abandoning it for an Arion or some such (yikes that must be some kinda sacrilege around here, sorry).
