I just got a Boss TW-1 for 65$ and was wondering if:
A) you guys think it was a good deal. (couldn't hear it first)
B) Your over-all opinions on the TW-1 compared to the FT-2, which is also on my list. Thanks a lot!

| i have a FT2 and its a "dynamic" filter. meaning that it only wahs when you pick a note. the problem with the AW2 (if i remember correctly. its been a while) is that you have to set the wah manually, so if you are playing something that doesnt follow the exact time it will wah the wrong spot. |

Check with your local Ebay about prices on the TW-1, have a feeling that you paid the average price.
The TW-1 compared to the FT-2 is very different:
TW-1 sounds more organic, less clean, more of an "old school" dynamic filter.
FT-2 sounds cleaner and clearer, not bad, just different.
When you compare first issue TW-1's to later ones they sound different as well, but this is the case with all First Issue Boss pedals.
The TW-1 can best be compared to Electro Harmonic's "Bass Balls". The Electro Harmonic is a tad more organic and dirty that the Boss TW-1. |

| Plenty of FT-2's and AW-2's out there as the autofilter pedals seem to be less popular than the Chorus, Flange or Phase ones. Just be patient and strike for one when the time is right. |
