No worries I recently won an auction for a MIJ DS-1. It was around $50 but reserve wasn't met. I asked the seller if he'd be willing to sell it to me for $60 and he replied that his reserve was $150. At that point I said the exact same words you used |

Well, now that we've proven that you can get $160 for a fake MIJ DS-1, everyone expects to get that much for a REAL one.
Grace and peace,

Correct met if I am wrong but aren't there settings on the CE-20 Chorus Twin pedal that simulate the DC3 and the four pre-sets of the DC2? I thought I have read it once in the manual. I have never tried a CE-20 so I am not really sure. If it is true, has anybody ever compared DC2/3 with the CE-20 settings? |

Someone has since outbid me, and I just got done adding about another $40.00 to their bill. Reserve still not met, by the way.

Now $165.00; reserve met...
I guess that the seller didn't think it was going to bid that high otherwise.

This would be an interesting comparison, too -- but I'm going to go in highly skeptical of any digital emulation of the original analog sound of the DC-2 (if the CE-20 is purely digital). They might get close on the DC-3 settings, though.

In about the same exterior condition as my old CE-2, but I'm more of a user than a collector, so no worries.
I figured that the days of them going for any less than this are probably gone now, so I figured I might as well take the plunge before they get up there with the DM-2, DM-3, SP-1 etc.

I'd like to think that some of my money went toward this purchase, so I feel a part of it now.

Yup. Thanks much for that transaction, by the way. I like it when everyone wins, and am glad that those two pedals found a good home...

I like the PH-2 more every time I play it. I'm still researching that Maestro phaser, though.
I bought another CS-3 that was supposed to distort the signal & I was expecting to use yours to help troubleshoot it, but I haven't been able to get the thing to do anything wrong. I haven't even taken yours out of the box yet. I do like the ability to vary the attack on the CS-3 vs. the CS-1.
Grace and peace,
Steve

| I have both DC-2 and DC-3. Both great, but different. |
