| Depends on the pedals... You would need to add up the mA for all the pedals and see if it comes anywhere near 300 mA. |

| I usually don't run any more than about 80% of rated current for the supply to keep it cooler & hopefully increase its longevity. |

| Just so you know I have run more than 300mA off one daisy chain with somewhat unstable results. But stable in the short run. I hope I don't get stoned for saying that, and not in the high way. It is just the truth. I try not to do it anymore, and in fact rarely do. But I have before and will proclaim that it can be done. You just might get some weird volume drops (at least I hope that is what caused them). |

| talking of power, i was thinking of getting another daisy chain for my Boss psa, Will it be able to cope with powering another 7 pedals? I already have 9 Pedals powered, will it damage the psa if I power too much through it? |

Hi Ollie
Please read Laurie's reply above & quoted below. quote:
Depends on the pedals... You would need to add up the mA for all the pedals and see if it comes anywhere near 300 mA.
Basically, you get a piece of paper, & write down the names of all the pedals you want to run, or own. Then next to the names, you write down the current consumption of each pedal, you can find that info in the compact pedals section. on the main page.
Then simply add up all the currents & see what it equals, if you exceed 60% to 80% of the current of the 300ma PSA adapter, then the answer will be no. this also depends a little on the types of pedal you are running. Delays, Reverbs & Pitch-shifters typically draw much more current.
The RV-2 actually used to come with its own power supply in the box, and had no batter connector. The MZ-2 is also a real battery Glutton.
Besides, it will be a good record for the future as you add & remove pedals from your setup. You might already be pushing the PSA to extremes with your current collection of 9 pedals, depending on what they are.
I would be really interested to know, what your findings are Ollie.
Regards Dr. Bob

PW-10 is 55mA, so you have a total of 241mA. That's enough for one PSA - time to buy another adapter.

3k mA???
Do you have more info on it? Is it "switched mode"? I would recommend against switched mode... many people think they are OK, but some of us really don't like them.

Im not sure, it seems you just put a kettle lead into it and you use the switch at the mains to on/off it.
More info w/Pics:

the company have a good colour coded system for pedal adapters like the Proco Rat which have annoying power specifications. (As in, you can't power it using the standard boss 9v adaptor) |

I'm trying to find all the old linear PSA adapters I can now.. I want to get rid of my switched-mode thanks to the scare-tactics of SOME PEOPLE here!
Anyone know if the Danelectro "Zero Hum" is linear or switched? They're rated the same as old PSAs.. |

| The Diago is alright but I would go with the Burkey Flatliner Six, JuiceBox, or Voodoo Lab Pedal Power Plus with their isolated outlets for less noise. The Voodoo & Burkey units seem to be the best available right now. |

| i calculated the most boss pedal run under 50 mili amps on average you can run about 4 with out cause too much trouble. but read the owners manual or the specs on every pedal that you plan on running |

Pretty sure that they are linear, so would be a very good option... Have to crack one open and have a look to be 100%. You wouldn't have an old dead one laying around you could open up and post pics of would you? |

I'll see if I can find one to open up..
I need some short one-plug extension cords so I can fit a bunch of warts on a power bar. I know hedonics sells them.. any other ideas?? |
