I've got only one thing to say,
Hats off to the designer of one the best guitars in the world
Even though this is not a Gibson, it's still a Les Paul and I just had to show it off:

Hi FRANZONI & Guys Do you or any of the other guys know, if he used a impedance matching-dropping transformer to accomplish this?
I know-saw Epiphone make a Semi-Acoustic Bass, that has a High-Med-Low Z (impedance) output switch, that switches a small transformer, to get the different impedance's.

Sorry Doc...i never got that far into researching his inventions but from what i've read i think he invented the low impedance thing with pickups but i don't know about any switch to go hi/lo on his guitar, his actual Les Paul is very different looking to what most people think of as a Les Paul guitar like Dirks for example...i'm fairly sure someone here posted a pic of this model(i think gibson tried to market it in the 70's) before on a topic...... |

Thanks for the info, I'd no idea it was that early. I wondered if perhaps, offstage, there was a tower of multitrack recorders doing the work :) Either that or it was a miniaturised 8-track recorder type device with tape loops. I think you're right, in a way I'd rather not know, cool to know he still has secrets. |

Yeah, they tried to market it as The Les Paul "recording" model.
