That NEC 14 pin OD-1 that was on eBay wad just purchased by Roshambojoe. I collect Ibanez pedals and I've seen Roshambojoe and John Grimsley, also known as tubescreamerheaven and lately as supersonicmods single handedly triple the price on SD9's and SM9's. These guys try to out bid each other and while they are bidding, half the Ibanez pedals for sale are theirs, for more $. I can only hope John doesn't decide he want to sell boss pedals! Look up supersonicmods on YouTube, and you'll see what I mean. Roshambojoe must have money to burn, because he loves to outbid John grimsley! All Ibanez pedals on eBay are priced higher because of these two individuals |

can you link to the completed auction? I can't seem to find it..
for Boss stuff, 'kaz' in Japan used to pump up the prices, but I don't see his auctions anymore. |

Prices are already upping on some of the older pedals. As soon as someone of a forum calls some old pedal rare and valuable, regardless if it's true or not in the first place, prices on Ebay tend to skyrocket. A good example is the CE-2, 2 years ago they went around for under 100 dollars, last year their value went up to 120 dollars, while it's nothing more special then any other second hand pedal worth 50 bucks. What can I say, prices will up even more as long as there are people crazy enough to cash out the dough for it.
Not to disrespect the mighty CE-2 offcourse, that was used for demonstrational purposes only. |

| [That was the only Boss pedal I was after. I'm actually starting to sell off all my extra pedals. I never intended to continue buying/selling on eBay. It is much to time consuming and I start a new job next week in which I will have even less time].... ( Roshambojoe) don't let this guy or his cohorts dictate prices for Boss pedals as they have for vintage Ibanez (Maxon) pedals. This was a direct quote from Roshambojoe to me unedited |

Well upon waking up the next day... A little more sober. I realize my rant is in vain and sounds like sour grapes. Hey it's an open market and anyone can pay or charge what they want. Guess I just got tired of seeing the same names bidding agaist me when I was collecting the Ibanez 9 series! |

SD-9's have got very popular IMHO due to the association with Mike Landau and Scott Henderson and some of the other L.A/Nashville session heads and jazz rockers...i know i thought about getting one for a while but i reckon i would just get the Maxon reissue if i wanted one rather than get into a bidding war on the 'bay...Mrs F is worse than me and it can quickly get out of hand with the price... ....but then i'm not a collector so an original or a reissue to the same specs makes no nevermind to me... |
