When you build a collection it isnt primarely the number of items you have (of course). If I today bought 30 new Boss-pedals, thats no collection as I see it. But if I buy five metal-screw Bosses that would be a collection, in my opinion of course. I think that there should be a "reason" for a collection, lets say I collect all of Boss distortions/overdrives. |

I completely agree with that. There's something to be said for quality over quantity. The only reason I have so many Boss pedals is to have options when recording. The more choices I have, the better. I try them all out at home or in the rehearsal room and if they do something useful, they may find their way onto a recording. If they do, or if they are silver screw models or rarities such as the VB2, they will always have a home in my collection. The ones that have outgrown their importance in my collection or are duplicates that I couldn't pass up because of great prices, etc will be sold or traded off. There's not much point in just having a bunch of pedals that never get used or that are just junk. Just my opinion. |

Yeah! look what happend to me! I'm a drummer for pete's sake! I started playing guitar just for fun, and now i collect these little metal boxes. I think that everyone has a way of collecting effects. right now i am collecting only MIJ boss effects, but i might start going after some MIT models just as backups. |

You may also have to branch out into MIT pedals eventually anyway because some great models were never even made in Japan. |

| You may want to consider a GE7 before you get the EH2. I think you'll have greeater flexibility using that. The EH2 is intended to be run in your effects chain if you're using many effects in a row. I've never tried it on it's own to see what it does, but it sounds kind of like you need an EQ pedal to me. |

I know i need something....Soon, or i'm gonna go nuts. My Real Tube OD sounds great with a flat EQ ,but at any other point it souns mushy, i think that with a GE-7 i might be able to boost the bass whitout it turning it into mush. |

| Yep. It sounds like you need a GE7 and not the EH2. Try running a GE7 after the OD. You should be able to clear up whatever it is you're not liking in your sound fairly easily if it's sounding muddy. |

| yeah man, i got an MT-2 at first and then got addicted to it straight away. without the knowledge of my brain, my hand started to open up my wallet by itself and the next i know, i got 6 in my possession now.. with a WAH PEDAL!!! i got a CS-3 (Japan), MT-2, AC-2, DD-6, NS-2 and a BD-2 with a Snarling Dog wah pedal. Currently waiting for my OD-1 to arrive.. planning to buy some more japanese boss pedals. the jap pedals are only for collecting purposes. the MIT ones, it'll be used for my gigs (except for the CS-3 of course, can't gig without it..) |

If it's the low frequency range you need more control over you might even want to consider a GEB-7. |

Good suggestion. You'll probably save a few bucks too. Seems like the Boss Bass line products go for a bit less, even though they are most likely very similar to the guitar line, just with a few components changed to optimize the circuits for bass frequencies.
*I read somewhere that at least one of the bass models is in fact identical to the guitar version except for a few components. |

I think I've read that thing too. I think it's really just the center frequencies on the sliders that are different.
Now there's an idea for a modification. Optimize 4 or 5 GE-7's for different frequency areas and connect them all together. 4 pedals could become a 28 band equalizer in stompbox format. |

Hell why don't you throw a PQ-4 in there just for the hell of it. Wow that would be a monster eq! Even better, chain four or five PQ-4's together. |
