Here it is: Calgary Flames vs. Montreal Canadiens, with the Flames winning in an upset. Lord Stanley's cup will come back to Canada where it rightfully belongs. |

NY Rangers: 16 straight wins to the cup.
Okay they lose 1 or 2 along the way. |

The top eight teams from each of the two Conferences play in the Stanley Cup playoffs, which are decided a series off best of seven game rounds. Sadly for you Lauries2 the Edmontonton Oilers placed ninth in the western conference, so they aren't in it. The Washington Capitals are in however and stand as good a chance as anybody. The matchups are: EASTERN CONFERENCE: Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Ottawa Senators Washington Capitals vs. Philadelphia Flyers New Jersey Devils vs. New York Rangers WESTERN CONFERENCE: Detroit Red Wings vs. Nashville Predators San Jose Sharks vs. Calgary Flames Minnesota Wild vs. Colorado Avalanche Anaheim Ducks vs. Dallas Stars
Game is back on so I have to go.

| Awesome, the Capitals and Predators are in! I think its great the Caps made it considering how crappy they started the season and then had a coaching change. |

| As much as I would like to see my hometown Senators win (fat chance), I have to go with either Montreal or Detroit |

The Caps have the best player in the NHL, they have a great chance of going at least past the 1st round.
pedals 4 pv - sorry I can't root for your Flames b/c of your coach. Us Ranger fans remember 1994/5 very well. |

You don't like Iron Mike? I live in a suburb of Vancouver, but I have been a Flames fan from the beginning. I was here for the decimation of the Canucks between 97 and 99. I took a terrible lot of flack from my Canucks fan buddies when Cowtown signed Keenan last year. |

| You have to pull for the Caps. With an awful start and a coaching change they rallied to win 11 of the last 12 to get into the playoffs by the skin of their teeth. Alex O has to be the MVP - most goals by a left wing in NHL history). And, the Caps are maybe the worst franchise in NHL history. They've been to only 1 final (and got crushed) and have been last place a whole lot. |

Uhhhh no. Wins a cup in NY and plays some games with mgmt about missing a deadline to weasle out of his contract. Don't want him around if he didn't want to be in NY, but it was a pretty class-less move IMO.
May Iron Mike get led-poisoning and get bounced out in the 1st round. |
