Just got Cornell "The first fuzz", Germanium transistors and carbon composite resistors just like the old ones. Very well buildt. The sound is as sweet as one can imagine, at low settings a really good overdrive at higher pure Fuzz Face "sawing". These are expensive but I got mine for about a third of the new-price. |

Will do Laurie - I think I've pretty well gathered all the MXR phasers along with the Boss range - maybe time to do some comparisons
I will let you know what I think of the '74 - I think Ollie was after one as well. |

| I did the "script mod" to my standard Phase 90... it's OK, but not in the league of the reissue i think. |

Nice one. I've been using one for about a year now, they're great pedals. I'm confident you'll like it. |

The MXR '74 Phase 90 arrived yesterday and you were spot on rhcp_1005, this is a really cracking phaser - definitely one worth saving up for Ollie
I did some quick comparisons - nothing fancy or scientific I just used my ears and noted my first impressions (often the best indicator imho). I lined it up with a PH-1 and, whilst the PH-1 gives a pleasant gloss / veneer to a sound, this MXR really gets to the fundamentals of tone and chews things up to add something that has more richness. It comes across as deeper, warmer, gutsier and with more noticeable movement in the sound.
Although I know Ill primarily use the 74 for live work now, I can still see a use for the PH-1 as the two of them do have different characters. I also compared it to another of my other favourite phasers an old MXR Phase 45 different again, with more subtlety although it does generate some of that same richness as the 74. Im glad that Im lucky enough to be able to have the choice. |

Just locked down a Bob Sweet era mojo vibe. Pretty pump about it.

well a month or two after I sold my DM-2 I was now longing for an analog delay pedal....
I want(ed) a DM-3 since I like the fact that they are (quasi) stereo
however non turned up that I could afford and/or liked (I like minty pedals)
and now I BIN'ed this one

it's not cheap though it's really mint and comes with box and power supply.
I had one of these and soundwise it's a DM-2 that doesn't self-oscillate...
still if anyone has a minty DM-3 they want to trade for a BF-1 or a bundle of other Boss pedals let me know |

I got my tax return last week and promptly spent a large chunk of it on this:

Electro-Harmonix POG2... it's AWESOME! I've owned a few octavers (Exar OC-04, Boss OC-3, Pearl OC-07) and pitch shifters (PS-2, PS-3, PS-5) but the POG2 beats them all hands down for tracking and features (as it should - it cost me near on AU$400!).
I now have my eye on the Moog MIDI MuRF which is supposed to be out next month... |

Bought two Dano Cool Cat pedals, one distortion(red one), and the silver overdrive. Probally getting the Vibe as well....fun cheap pedals. Also got my hands on a JHS-2 fuzz.
