Hello, I have a CS2(Japan) it is a great compressor(David Gilmour uses one supposedly, and I know for a fact The Edge uses one), I wonder If anyone has compaired it to the CS3(made in Japan of course)? I know it has the added "Tone" knob, but does this really make any difference?

I haven't A-B'd the two pedals but I feel that the CS-3 has a greater range on the Sustain and Attack knobs. It is really the range you don't want to enter as the pedal becomes really noisy there but still...

Same here. I haven't A - B'd them either. I know that the CS2 is more of a prized possesion among some studio musicians here in the States than the CS3. I will have to A - B them some time to see for sure which is "better" to my ears.

I like the CS-2 better, it sounds a little less than a compressor, more invisible... but with the same effect. If this makes sense..

I've A-B'd the CS-2 & CS-3, and to me they sound totally different. The CS-2 is a little warmer sounding, and the sustain isn't as harsh. On the other hand the CS-3 is a little more flexable with the tone control, and the sustain is alot more pronouced, and sustains a little longer than the CS-2. But other than that not much of a difference,
