Hi guys

The HM-3 pedal, that I won on EvilBay last week arrived today.
I had a bit of shred with it... when the family went out for a while, this afternoon.

This thing can kick some serious Butt, especially if you crank out, the LOW EQ knob.
As well as the DIST knob,
Although with high DIST. settings, the whole thing can get out of control REAL FAST,
especially if using high output humbuckers.
Box & User Manual.

Hi StratoSphere
I will admit it, I do love my CE-2's
I set mine SLOW & DEEP

Not wanting to take away from your excellent win,
I have managed to get (3) of them, all in recent history.
I'm doing the Tri-Chorus thing, with them & a small mixer.

Hi StratoSphere

Slow - Deep --- Deep & Wet --- oozing with wetness

Seems like, we like to play them the same way.

But sometimes, you just have to try it, Faster, Harder & Deeper.

The CE-2, was just what we didn't know, that we all wanted.

How often, do you tweek the two upper knobs?
My FZ-2, has two pairs of knobs to tweek...
Can get real confusing.

Just got a cheap HR-2 (75€ shipped !!), sold the last one for a decent price (110€).

Sold my mint RV-3, I needed cash...

Waiting for a HM-3 to complete my Boss "metal" collection (MT-2 / MZ-2 / HM-2 / HM-3)

I also got a Maestro Mini Phase for almost nothing, and OMG, it sounds soooo good... (btw, "mini" as a big EHX pedal... I love 70's stuff !! )

Hi Basstyra
Last Friday I got a HM-3 for $51 aust.
It kicks some serious Butt, with humbuckers.
I have the MZ-2 ... MT-2 and now the HM-3

What is the HM-2 like? I bought the HM-3 as hardly no-one had bid on it.
The paint work, from underneath, seems to be faulty on the last 3 letters of the word Metal (tal) part, making the orange text turn yellow & faded a bit, on those three letters.

Otherwise it's in brand new condition - box & manual.
I can make my Fender sound like a Marshall with this beast.
A lot of my friends come over & try out all my new pedals, every so often, & they all seem to like this pedal.

We have a, New Pedals - Coffee - Wine - Beer & Snacks day, over here every so often, sometimes we have a BBQ.

It's good to see other people experiment with different combinations of my pedals.
The day passes too quickly though.
It's always nice to have musician friends over, & the conversations are always interesting...

Hi Bossarea & Guys

I'm not sure if this should be in this thread or in the Ebay discussions thread.

Is it common, for early SS CE-2 pedals to have the same ink pad stamp S/n?
I bought a SS SE-2 a couple of weeks ago with ink pad S/n 0000 ?

I found this EvilBay post for a SS CE-2 s/n 0000
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/vintage-early-BOSS-Chorus-CE-2-pedal-metal-screw-MIJ_W0QQitemZ170048152806QQihZ007QQcategoryZ41413QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Just curious I suppose, are the ink pad stamped S/numbers, more like batch numbers, rather than individual S/nums

Have you come across this type of thing before Bossarea?

I'm still happy with my one ...
