I got tired of waiting and bought and built this:
http://www.buildyourownclone.com/atwin.html
Its a combo of the Armstrong Green Ringer and Orange Squeezer (compressor) in one pedal, and you can select either or both effect, and the LED changes color depending on which mode is selected.

The Moog Ring Modulator is the shit.. but I agree. Boss should put out one too. I just think it wouldn't sell well, & they know it.

I'm with DeFrag on this..... i agree it would be a good move to put one out but it probably wouldn't sell as ring mods are a special type of effect and not really used in mainstream stuff.... and as much as we like to think of boss/roland as innovators when it comes to effects...they are also hard, cold business people and if it ain't making money........sorry if i sound cynicial but thats the way it seems to be going these days..probably why i like the old stuff with all it's quirks and breakdowns at least you can repair it......!!!........

I got tired too and bought a DOD Gonkulator. Great fun and a very unique effect. I would love it if Boss made a ring mod bundled with the slizer effect from the GT series.

i think we talked about this quite a while back and we all said it would be cool if Boss put out something like a Ring Mod/Feedbacker/Reverse Delay type pedal out.
im pretty sure they have one on their GT-6 or GT-8 do they not?

Hi Strato & guys

Yes you're right, they even have one, going back as far as my old GT-3's.
But so do lots of other brands of Multi's...

I don't think Boss will ever again make a compact pedal that doesn't have solid, mass-market mainstream appeal: I suspect they learned this early on with the SG-1.
