Hi peebo What Guitar & Amp are you using with the HM-2, it does make a difference. They like Humbuckers, more so than single coils.

Favorite pedal, currently available= LS-2, flexible pedal, useful in all sorts of contexts, great tone shaper in A+B mode
Fairly well impossible to determine a favorite for previously released models, could be CS-2, Ph-1r, DM-3, or TW-1 |

I have an Epiphone SG going into a Marshall 2x12 combo. the SG has neck and bridge humbuckers ;)
i use the marshall's gain for the most part, an OD-2 for boost, and the HM-2 for a big noisy sound |

CE5 Other pedals have come and gone, but this has been with me from the start. It's had more usage than any other pedal I've owned. |

It doesn't matter where you set the rate and depth controls, you always get a great sound (even with depth fully off, it gives a nice presence/upper mid boost). Most other chorus pedals require you to spend a while dialing in the settings to find the sweet spot, and only have one or two usable sounds within.
I'm with you !! the CE-2 is amazing, I can't stand those over the top sounding pedals that make noises you'll never use..ever. cheers, Ken |

| sd-2 for me - best for a strat imho. Also love the df-2 and rc-2 as close runner ups. |

GE-6, because of its bassresponse that I not seem to get from other equalizers.
DD-2, because it simply sounds great.
NF-1, because I have had it for a few years, never used it that much until this spring, and now it keeps my Marshalls under control when I want to.
LS-2, because it helps me with playing 2 guitars through 1 amp, and a lot of other things most people would not dare doing!!
HM-2, because of similar reason as with the NF-1, plus its ability to sound like a plain dirty pedal when used in an extreme way.
Some people said the HM-2 likes humbucks, oh well, I just it most of the time with strats and other single coil guitars, and still can get that dirty, evil sound. Need to try it with humbucks, I guess it will sound less evil, and more like what the pedal is supposed to sound like. Perhaps I should not even try..............!!
Need to try an ML-2 one day, like the look of them: Simple and like there is something missing, perhaps it reminds me too much of the 80s............... |
