A number of years ago I got given the above pedal. Its a bit noisy but I like the delay. I personally can't stand the pitch shifting. Anyway, the reason for the post, apart from saying hello, was to ask the following question.
On the main site it says "The earliest PS-2s suffered from high frequency noise. This was alleviated from serial number 845800 but earlier units can be modified to the later specification by changing 3 capacitors".
My pedal has no serial number at all (and I've looked in the battery compartment), so how do I know if mine is an earlier pedal? Also, where can I get details of the mod? Hope someone can help. |

Hi Roadkill
Welcome to the forum from Australia.
You can sometimes find a small S/N sticker on the bottom edge, of the label on the base-plate, sometimes they fall off, or the lettering gets rubbed off.
Velcro is also the Enemy of these stickers & base-plate labels.

Hi all. Attached are a couple of photos I've taken of the inside of the pedal. One of the photos shows that a couple of parts are different to the PS-2 on page 17 of the pictures.
Theres no sign of the serial number on the base plate either.
So, can anyone help? Where do can I find details of the mod for this pedal?
All help is much appreciated.

Hi Roadkill
Thanks for uploading the pics of your PS-2 Unfortunatly, because if the large size, the first picture is partially corrupted. You probably experienced a time out error from the forum.
When next uploading pictures please try to resize them to around 100k or so.
Yo may attempt to upload the fist picture again. I can remove this partially corrupted file from the server if you wish. You will have to rename the file (add a character or suffix) before the server will allow you to re-upload to your directory on Bossarea.
If you don't have a graphic resize app/utility please let me know, & I will post smaller resized versions, & as always your original files will remain untouched.
Confusing? It's always a lot easier to actually just do this, than to type out a page of instructions.
Regards Dr. Bob |

Hi Dr Bob. I've re-attached the other image. Not sure why the files were so big as I'd resized them.
Thanks

RoadKill, just click on EDIT Icon to see the simple bit of HTML code I've added. Last line in the post. (in EDIT mode). You can then add this to your picture posts. Just copy the HTML & then just change the files name to suit. - Moderator.

Hi Roadkill and welcome to the forum.
Notice the two orange capacitors to the left of your picture? Those are the capacitors that was installed to fix the hf noise so you PS-2 is later than 845800. |
