I, personally, have nowhere near every pedal, though I'd like to. Whoever said "cigarettes are a gateway drug, marijuana is a gateway drug" was f***ing clueless. I've done those & more (HMMM).
Welcome to Boss!!!
I doubt I would EVER actively use more than 8 or so pedals per chain, I love experimenting & stirring the pot now & again.
I haven't found myself shaking & or convulsing in the closet, naked, thinking & or jonesing for a specific pedal (DENIAL). BUT, I don't doubt it could happen.

PS - Images coming SOON!!!

I may get some flame for this, but I think there's nothing wrong with a glass-cabinet display. Do I have to be a gigging musician to collect pedals? What people collect and what they do with their collection is their business. Can you fault someone with a huge wine cellar for hoarding all the best wine and not drinking it? Some things are worth having just to pass them on to your children. You also cannot fault someone for wanting to share images of something they feel is a kind of achievement. Maybe they should wait until they have their benchmark collection of every compact before displaying any images of their collection. Then I suppose it would be acceptible and not considered gloating? I should have a single picture of me rocking out with each pedal to prove that I'm tr00 enough. \m/

My collection if far from boxed/NOS. I just don't want any of them to deteriorate any further in condition. I play them when I feel like messing around, but I would probably hold back on giving the rare ones much, if any, real use.

Sadly, most of the cheap/NOS deals around these parts are long gone - people are pretty aware of what they have nowadays. I get cheap beat-up pedals, or fair-market price boxed ones.

When I have my personal goal of all the MIJ pedals, they'll be neatly arranged on an IKEA shelf. A second shelf may be added at some point.

the_destructor: marijuana was and remains my BOSS gateway drug. what else is stereo guitar for?!?!

I too am a collector. I own somewhere in the forties of Boss pedals, and they are all boxed (except a couple PSM-5s). A few duplicates and some neat non-pedal Boss electronics. Like mixers, splitters, drum machines and the like. I try to keep all my music goodies in the Roland/Boss vein.

I do indeed intend to collect them all.

I agree with verivorax. I keep most of my pedals in their boxes stacked one on top the other. But I also bring them all out to dance for me every few months. And I also keep a constant pedal board at least 15-20 pedals for sonic enjoyment.

I'm a collector of the older pedals and BOSS merchandise.. (Not just BOSS pedals but also brands like Pearl and Korg). I don't intend to buy the newer pedals - to me the COSM pedals has no soul..

Just returned from a vacation in Paris .. didn't find any BOSS pedals but a helluwwa lot of EiffelTower figures

Cheers
