Picked up an SD-2 for $30.00 @ GC Friday after work! I couldn't pass it up for that price. MINT condition. I played it for about five minutes then took it home. By Saturday I fell in love with it and stuck velcro on it. It will stay on my pedalboard permanently now. It's not my favorite pedal, but I like it a lot and can't believe it was only $30! I hooked up my Bespeco VM-2x and now I'm switching from crunch to lead! Great pedal!

The Bespeco brand is Italian, and they make some Boss knock-off pedals. The VM-20 is like the FS-5U, and the VM-22 is like the FS-5L. Or it's vice-versa

Anyway, I don't really even remember how I got those pedals, but I have them and they work great. My other one is on my DD-20 for Tap Tempo.

All this stuff are only switches... It's not like it was a technological item. it's even not technically a copy... Could you really imagine copying an electronical part ??

Would you consider this :

is a copy of this :

?

(in fact I took those on google... it could be the same thing... but my point is, it's not a copy, it's just "the same thing". There is a difference involved, I think.)

Just got a May 1991 MT-2 (in excellent condition !), a HC-2, and a VT-1.

I got a fine today (I'm not sure about the word... I got caught in the public transport as I hadn't pay, so I got to pay 40€...), but all in all it' a good day...

I also got a MIT and MINT () PH-2, but I allready got a MIJ one so I'll probably sell it.

Digsy :
Some of us don't smoke or drink,
let alone go out with wild women.
Sounds boaring, doesn't it.

For me it's seems to be the manifestation of some kind of Mid Life Crissis (MLC).

But honestly, at the end of the weeek-month-year, I have something to show for it,
where my friends who do smoke & drink etc. Have nothing but dirty ash trays & hangovers.

Maybe some of us just like brightly colours things.

As for the others, I'll leave it up to them to post their answers.

I personnaly am student, so I don't have much money. But I don't smoke, don't drink a lot, don't have a car, don't eat much, don't buy clothes, don't go often see a movie, and so on...

Almost all my money goes in music gear.

BTW, I got a wild girlfriend...

Looks like you might have to start a new "Wild Women" topic.

It seems to have struck some kind of chord with the guys.

Hi Diggum12
It's Friday here in Aust. and Thu. where you are I think.
What did you find/buy to play with this weekend?
Well you have 24 hours to go

I found a mint (or is that minty) NS-2 with box but sadly no manual.
No marks - No dust - No paint chips, just two velcro strips (very minty)

It was in a pawn shop I vist (A Lot) listed at $179 (stuff is dear here in Aust.)
After some negotiations with the manager (yes I know him) he sold it to me for $70.

Now that was a nice find, there was an original music shop label on the box,
that had a list price of $279.

But the prices of Boss pedals have recently fallen by about 30% down here.
Maybe that's because of falling sales to cheaper pedals & our dollar gaining some strength.
As an example pedals like the CS-3 that were priced at about $250, are now about $170.
Although I've seen the CS-3 for $105 BIN.

Still I am quite pleased with the NS-2 find.

diggum12, for a comparison, do you know what the NS-2 retails for in the USA?

I know that the Serial Number Decoder, doesn't decode 4 & 6 digit numbers, but I was wondering if you might have any idea as to the date of one of my OD-2's? .... I am just curious.

I bought it damaged & not working a few months ago
the label was missing, probably torn off by velcro, it still had the sticky glue all over the back of the pedal.

The paper label serial number, in the battery compartment says:
Z997968
Product of Roland TAIWAN

The Z, is in a larger font & seems to have been printed separately, there is a small gap between the Z and the 6 digit serial.

Thanks in advance.
