So yesterday I got an email from Roland UK, the usual newsletter. They announced that there will be a worldwide public unveiling of the new V-piano (namm best in show!) and new electric organ at the Arnolfini centre in Bristol, and tickets were available. I'm at university in Bristol and so jumped at the chance. There were lots of press and bizarrely a lot of old organ players, but the presentation was excellent. There was a short talk given by the Roland/Boss worldwide president Kaz Tanaka (a great man! ) and some neat demos. I was a little late so I missed out on some freebies but i grabbed a few roland pens . I was hoping for a boss mug or something having seen some of the neat stuff they give away at these things. Still, I feel privileged to have been present at the very first public showing of the v-piano - it sounded fantastic. Didn't get to hear the organ though because I had to run off to get to lecture |
