| I use the FS-5U with my PH-3, DD-5 and AW-3. I also use it with a borrowed DS-2 to change temporally to Turbo mode while pressing the FS-5U. |

It seems to be a momentary switch, so it isn't for on/off function.....damn! I've bought it without even knowing what it was.......
Evilbay, as says Dr.Bob.... |

How do I use it...
The FS-5U has a switch, it must be to the left, check the manual to be sure.
DD-5, set the mode knob in 8, 9, 10 or 11 modes, the FS-5U is plugged in the tempo jack. Tap with the tempo of the song. PH-3, plug the FS-5U in the exp/ctl jack. Tap with the tempo of the song. AW-3, plug the FS-5U in the exp/ctl jack. Set the mode to Tempo. Tap with the tempo of the song. DS-2, plug the FS-5U in the remote jack, press & hold while you want the turbo mode.
And nibla, can't it be useful with your DD-20?? I don't know as I haven't tried the DD-20. |

Hey ptero! How are you? Hey friend, how's the DS-2 sounding in your rig? What settings do you use? How would you compare it to the other BOSS distortions you have? Thanks! |

It was a friend's DS-2. I told him what is the remote jack for. Since I don't have a FS-5L, I used my FS-5U. I have an XT-2 and a MT-2, I like the XT-2 and the sound I obtain with Delay, the MT-2 is very versatile. The DS-2 sounded like a classic distortion, crunchier than XT-2, hard to explain. The remote is a very good addition. Boss should have kept producing the Turbo Overdrive with remote. |

The GE-6 came in today and im supprised how good it sounded. I didnt think it was going to be that good.
Does anyone elses buzz madly when one of the sliders is anywhere but in the middle? (I think it was the 3rd from left) |

Hi Stratosphere, mattoqua & Guys
Congratulation's mattoqua. Maybe there is a bad or cracked solder joint on that slider pot. Look with a good quality 3X magnifier, at the solder side of the board. It may also be that the sliders track need to have some spray lubricant-cleaner applied to it, or it's just dusty, we are talking about a 20+ year old pedal. Good Luck.
On a slightly similar note. Does anyone here know which opamps the GE-6 uses. Maybe basstyra has some info, I don't have a schematic of the GE-6 It may be that Roland-Boss used a better quality opamp in this pedal.
