ptero, I managed to fully repair the Line 6 DL4 Modeling Delay see the grin I cantacted the service rep here in Australia, & was told that I have the current version of the firmware - which is v1.3 for the DL4 - in case anyone else has the same question.
It's Friday here, I can smell the weekend and I feel a bad case of GAS coming on, I haven't had a dead, or new pedal for about 2 weeks. Is that FDR-1 Pains I can feel .....

When I started to play guitar (it been a many years agoļ) I started to use Roland / Boss products. First I bought 1979 Guitar Synthesizer GR-500 and, today very rare, JC-160 (with 4 speakers), CE-1, than Sip 300 preamp, GS-6 preamp with effect , Space Echo 501, some stomp box, FV-200 and SD-1 (still I am owner), CE-2 etc. Now I have this presented on pic.
GT-6 I used alone. FS-6 and EV-6 connected in FC-50, I use to control t.c.electronic G-Major and sometimes I add my stomp setup in BCB-30 case. Many times I use only this through my design tube amplifier or preamp through speaker simulator direct to P.A. Duka |

Hi dukasound Nice Setup & welcome to the Forum.
In early 1980-81 I bought the Roland GR-300 Guitar synth & GR-808 Guitar Controller. I still have them toady. They are in as new condition. I use the GR-808 as my main guitar, as well as a new black strat that I picked up about 6 months ago.
Which GR guitar controller did you buy with your GR-500, if I remember the GR-500 was the yellow synth box?
Did you know that member "eeone" on this forum is also from somewhere in Yugoslavia. Can I ask what part you are from? I have some family over there.
I am sorry I could not help you with the schematic for your broken PSM-5, What is the problem wit it?
Regards Dr. Bob

Hi Bob I bought GR-500 1979 when he was on market. Guitar was a Les Paul style with sythesizer box like Roland analog synths. If I find some pics I ll send. GR-500 has mono and poly section. Nice guitar and nice stuff. Later after I sold this I buy Casio PG-380 and Korg Z-3. I live in old town Kotor (Kotor`s Bay) Montenegro. I am musician and chief manager on Radio Kotor. Problem with PSM is because guy what sell me this did some modifications

Hi dukasound I remember the GR-500 mow, wow that is the very first roand guitar synth that they made, I have only read about these, i have never heard one. I have been told that the Guitar controller is a very good guitar to play. My GR-808 really plays well, it has heaps of sustain & is very versatile.
I have been trying to get a Casio PG-380 for a long time, but have almost given up. I still have a a Suzuki XG-1m MIDI Guitar controller, I don't know if you remember them.
I have been looking at the Behringer iAxe USB guitar, it's about $199AU (Australian) A friend down the street, just got one, & he is raving about it, they also make a Audio to USB adapter, I don't know ith these will do MIDI though. With your PSM-5 maybe we can get some photo's of it to help you out. And see what was modified.
Regard Dr. Bob |
